October 2011
So Kim Kardashian has gotten divorced from Kris Humphries after 72 days.
Marriage in a nutshell is a publicity stunt/business agreement.
The tutorial prep work for tomorrow is so boring and long. I may just quit writing notes and just scan the textbook and highlight it.
If I get asked a question, I’ll just blag AS politics- it’s pretty much it anyway. Also it sayd ‘questions for discussion’ therefore it’s not compulsory to do the prep work.
Thinking like a lawyer to prevent myself from doing the work….typical.
On a plus Symone and I chatted to Nathan in the library cafe which was nice…the three amigos from Maths in Nottingham (not Trent). It’s nice to see familiar faces…but so weird too as it’s been a while. It’s gonna be insane when everyone’s back home for Christmas.
My favourite lecturer has finished his segment of the course which means no more Ralph (pretty bad I sdidn’t know his name until today- just called him hippy man)! He took a photo of us on his blackberry and he even said that for anyone who is unsure about the course due to homesickness etc, they should just stick it out until after the January exams. So cute, I had to tick every strongly agree box on the positive questions in the feedback questionnaire.
My body has been shaking in my lectures today…I’ve been working too hard I think.
Last night- went out, came back at 3. Worked until 4 and then slept until 7 then worked until around 25 past 8 when I had to force myself to stop so I could get ready for my tutorial.
Day before that- worked solidly from 9ish until 3am.
Lectures have been pretty heavy content-wise.
Got told by a friend that I sound ill. I’ve been feeling a bit ill for a while anyway and I think it’s all just caught up with me. Run down, sore throat, cracked dry and sore lips, and insanely physically and mentally exhausted.
I would love to rest up this weekend but I can’t- have to finish work for 2 more tutorials, do a 4 page outline for an essay and do a 1500 word essay plus shitloads of reading.
I got fist bumped by my friend after telling him about my hardcore working. He’s Asian…maybe I’m morphing into them!
The seminar tutor has a way of making you realise you don’t know anything at all- even if you’ve read so much until 3am on Hart, Dworkin and The Speluncean Explorers case.
I didn’t say much really ha, but it was pretty painful how he destroyed some people’s arguements apart. Not gonna lie though, he knows what he’s talking about and I got alot of notes…just wish he wasn’t so scary.
There’s already tension in the seminar room- two girls having a heated debate about whether a car is a vehicle…I’m sensing a personality clash!
I know it’s odd despite all I said…but I enjoy my seminars.

Listening to Zelda and Super Mario themetunes brought back my childhood.
…and it was so good! Some group’s fancy dress ideas were genius- my favourite was the stormtroopers with Darth Vader hands down.
The best bar was Lloyds hands down…the way we were all dancing whilst tied…too funny haha!
It ended at Gatecrasher but we just stayed in the main 3 levels so we didn’t all get lost as there’s so many rooms in that club…the main room had the best music anyway.
It was the first time ever I’ve showed off more skin than normal. In your groups you have to do fancy dress so we did the school theme. I was a ghetto London ‘gyal’ so I wore my amazing huge gold star earrings and rolled up my shirt so it was cropped (I did wear trousers as I was bored of wearing skirts constantly/so it didn’t look slutty) and I’m guessing that’s why I got more male attention than normal in our group with another group haha.
Conor and I are hip hop pals…so gutting Drop It Like Its Hot didn’t come on. At least Low was played.
Fred just smiling at me as I knew the words to so many songs and the general fact that I’m quite different in a club to my usual quiet self haha.
Just generally having so much fun dancing with everyone amd seeing loads of people I knew…such a good night.
